The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur recently organized the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue on the theme “Empowering Youth for Viksit Bharat in Odisha.” Held in collaboration with Project Point Odisha under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports’ MY Bharat initiative, the event gathered 20 dynamic youth delegates, including tribal representatives from the region.

The dialogue focused on critical areas like youth leadership, innovation, governance, and inclusive development, directly supporting India’s vision for Viksit Bharat 2047. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions across 10 key themes, addressing sustainable practices tailored to Odisha’s unique socio-economic landscape.

Distinguished speakers enriched the conversation. Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director of IIM Sambalpur, highlighted AI-driven innovation as a powerful tool to tackle global and national challenges. Satya Prakash Pattnaik, Former Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), and Nihar Ranjan Dash, Special Secretary to the Government of Odisha, emphasized empowering young minds for nation-building. Dash called for a transformative education vision that nurtures every child’s aspirations.

The event underscored the vital role of youth in driving India’s journey to becoming a developed nation by 2047. Through interactive sessions, delegates explored practical pathways for social responsibility, policy innovation, and regional development.

IIM Sambalpur positions this dialogue as part of its broader commitment to national progress. By fostering academic excellence, youth engagement, and policy discourse, the institute aims to cultivate leaders equipped to advance Viksit Bharat’s goals. The collaboration exemplifies how educational institutions can bridge youth potential with developmental priorities, particularly in states like Odisha with rich cultural diversity and growth opportunities.

This platform not only inspires young leaders but also strengthens community ties, ensuring inclusive growth aligns with national ambitions.
